Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Charming, gentle, humorous friendship in English Countryside.
Review: I read this book to my 4 small children 20 years ago and lost my copy when loaned it out too many times. My oldest daughter located a copy at an out of print shop in NY and gave it to me for my birthday 2 years ago. I'd love to find another copy to give back to her. A story that will touch you and your children by the thoughtfulness of Hedgie toward Miss Jaster's nearsightedness... and of Miss J's kindness to a bedragled little Hedgie. His dance of ecstacy when he declares "I'm in bloom" is priceless. Should be reissued in a new edition! Great Book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Thank goodness this was reissued.
Review: I remembered this book ever since my daughter used to get it out of the library. For years it was out of print, but luckily someone decided to put it back into publication.
This endearing tale of a near-sighted lady and the hedgehog who lives in her garden (and unwittingly becomes a walking bouquet) will delight everyone, young and old.
The illustrations are done in a charming watercolored pen and ink format, enhancing the fun of the story.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Can I give it 10 stars?!?
Review: Like the other reviewers, this was one of my all-time favorite books from childhood. I used to pour over the illustrated map of Miss Jaster's garden and feel that it was surely the most idyllic garden on earth. Two years ago I searched for a copy, only to find it selling for about $80/copy in used book circles. I am absolutely thrilled to see it in reprint... I can't wait to relive the magic with my own young daughter!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is a wonderful book
Review: This was one of my favorite books as a child too. I am happy to see that others love it so much as well. The illustrations are absolutely wonderful. I am very upset because I have managed to lose my copy that I had as a child, and I want so badly to be able to read it to my son.
