Review: Winner of Mayhaven's Awards for Children's Fiction, Pythagoras Eagle & The Music Of The Spheres by Anne Carse Nolting is a superbly crafted novel for young adults set in Prince William Sound. A young native Koniagmiut with a passion for mathematics and its applications in real life, as well as her friends, must struggle to solve an obscure math problem by the end of the summer to earn a scholarship. They form the Pythagoras Club, and seek to enlist the help of Shawna's talented uncle - yet he has problems of his own, and when he disappears leaving behind clues it offers a life-defining challenge for the trio. An absorbing and emotional story, Pythagoras Eagle & The Music Of The Spheres is highly recommended reading!
