Review: This book is about a man named Patrick who turned down college to join the marines. Little did he know that he would get assigned to go to the war in Vietnam right out of boot camp. He receives a diary and he puts it to good use. He rights about all his new exspiriences being in the war. He uses it to right letters to his family. He rights about what he does to prepare to go in for battle... This is a great read if you love historical fiction. This book gives you a great idea of what it was like to be in action during the war in Vietnam.
