Summary: A very exciting and spellbinding book.
Review: I am a physician and almost 67 years old. I read this book as a child and I have had such high regard for it that I want my grandchildren to read it. I look forward to "The Return of Silver Chief" to come back. I would so like my grandchildren to be able to read it as well. I plan to read them again myself. Thank you! to Jack O'Brien.

Summary: Silver Chief, Dog of the North
Review: I read the Silver Chief stories as a grade school kid back in the 50's and even today just hearing the name conjurs up memories and pictures in my head of "the Great White North," the Canadian Mounties and the moving story of the bond between a man and a wild dog. I had a heck of a time finding a copy to read to my three boys -- the [Local] Public Library had relegated it to storage in a warehouse. How unfortunate that so many wonderful children's titles have been lost or forgotten. I'm glad to see this one is still available to another generation of readers -- the romance, adventure and genuine feeling of this story remain timeless!

Review: I read this book in elementary school, after stumbling across it while browsing through the school library. It's such a great story and even though it's for youngsters, I wouldn't mind re-reading it now as an adult, just for the memories of the brave wild dog's adventures.

Summary: Attic find makes lasting impression
Review: I started to read books on my own in the fourth grade. Mr.O'Brian's "Silver Chief" was the second book I ever picked up and read. I owe this book alot for making me fall in love with reading. I never knew that books could surround your soul and make you apart of everything. I was never the same person again after reading "Silver Chief". It awoke that "Reader" inside of me. THANK YOU!
