Rating: Summary: Awesome!!! Review: "The Night I Disappeared" is a great book. The Author does a wonderful job of keeping the reader interested with many unexpected twists. I finished this book in just a week. I did not want to stop reading it. This book was so intriguing and always had a twist that kept me guessing. This story had a very original plot. It is about a seventeen year old girl named Jamie Tessman. Jamie is a junior in high school, but she hates it. It seems as though the only thing that can get her through the day is her best friend Webb. Over the summer Jamie has to leave California, and Webb, to move to Illinoise with her mom, a famous lawyer who is doing a case in Chicago. During this time Jamie starts seeing Webb, and litterally having conversations with him face-to-face, but Webb is in Europe for the summer. The realistic and very vivid daydreams she has put her in some dangerouse situations, and start to take over many parts of her life. Soon Jamie finds herself trapped in an inner world and captivated by her thoughts of Webb. Jamie starts to become afraid that she is losing her sanity when she meets Morgan, another teenage girl on vacation in Chicago, and her only friend. Morgan introduces Jamie to her aunt, Dr. Hackett, a phsychiatrist. Dr. Hackett helps Jamie defeat her fears and discover a forgotten and horryfying secret, and as she beggins to make sense of her slips into her own world all of her questions start to get answered. Julie Reece Deaver does a wonderfull job of including feeling and emotion that people can relate to, and making the reader feel close to Jamie as everything is happening. "The Night I Disappeared" is on of the best books I have ever read.

Rating: Summary: An Amazing Journey Review: I thought this book was amazing. The way the author explains the feelings that Jamie feels is incredible. Even if it is a bit predictable, the conclusional story of how it all came to be is great. I loved this book, and I'm very picky about books. I would reccommend it to ages 12 +.
Rating: Summary: A suspenseful, realistic, psychological novel. Review: Jamie has been friends with Webb for eight years, since she was nine. He understands her better than anybody else does. He even saved her life, which is how they first met. Now Webb is back-packing through Europe, and Jamie has to spend the summer in Chicago with her mother, who is the defense attorney for a girl accused of killing a child molestor. Jamie misses Webb very much, and the case her mother is working on troubles her in ways she doesn't understand. She starts doing weird things. For example, she daydreams about Webb a lot, losing track of where she is, and runs her bike into a parked car before she comes back to reality. Her mom has to leave the case she's working on to go to the emergency room. Jamie's mom is worried about her, but Jamie says she's fine. Her mother seems to believe this more than Jamie does and Jamie is getting scared. Sometimes she can't help daydreaming about Webb, as if she gets lost in her own mind. And then she discovers that when she's daydreaming about him, she's talking out loud to him --- pretty humiliating when she's in public! While she's in the emergency room Jamie meets Morgan, a girl her own age, and for the first time she has another friend besides Webb. Morgan thinks Jamie should talk to her aunt, who is a psychiatrist. Jamie knows she has a little problem, but believes she's handling it and doesn't need a shrink. Then circumstances get beyond her control, and she ends up not only talking to Morgan's aunt, but strapped to a bed in a psychiatric ward. This book is not spooky science fiction about mind-controlling computers or aliens. It's a suspenseful, realistic, psychological novel with touches of genuine humor about the mind's ability to protect itself from things too terrible to remember. Jamie is a spunky, intelligent, and mature young girl who, on the threshold of the rest of her life, has been rendered incapable of living it until she can deal with her past. Read this book to unravel the mystery of a day that splintered Jamie's world, to learn who Webb is, and to find out how Jamie gets on with her life. ---(...)

When Jamie Tessman moves to Chicago with her mom for the summer she finds herself seeing her friend Web, who lives back in California, everywhere she goes and in everything she does. Pretty soon she finds herself trapped in an inner world that is beginning to take over the other aspects of her life. The book has many unexpected twists and Julie Reece Deaver does a wonderful job of making you feel like you are with Jamie as this is happening. This is definitely one of the best books I have ever read.
Rating: Summary: DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS BOOK!!!! Review: The book "The Night I Dissapeared" is one of the best books I've ever read. From the first page t the last page it was interesting. The first page dragged me into the book and I could not put it down. there's also a really wierd but cool twist at the end! The book is about a 17 year old girl, Jamie Tessman, and her best friend Webb. They got separated for the summer and Jamie went to Chicago with her mom. Her mom is a famous lawyer and she has a case so she's either not home or very busy so she can't talk. So Jamie meets Morgan and what a coincidence, Morgan's aunt is a shrink. Jamie gets to know Morgan so she introduces Jamie to her aunt. Jamie also gets to know Morgan's aunt because Jamie visits her once or twice a week. Jamie really has a problem. Once Jamie stars with the shrink she gets a lot of flash-backs or daydreams about Webb. She can't help them and sometimes it take a while to get out of them. She also gets flash-backs about the day she met Webb and her baby-sitter Ellis. Julie Reese Deaver is a great author. She also wrote the book "Say Goodnight Gracie". I definitely want to read that because this book was sooo great. Jamie has a major problem and needs help. Why does she need help? What is the twist? Well... read the book and yo'll find out!!
Rating: Summary: The Night I Disappeared Review: This book is exciting and suspenseful. Jaime has an amazing friend, who is her life back at home. The only problem is, she thinks he is real. She moves to Chicago, and starts to realize that maybe he isn't as real as she always thought he was. And maybe there's a reason she brought him into her life as a child. Read about how Jaime battles her inner self... Her reward; her past. Julie's other book is "Say goodnight, Gracie" which is another 5-star story. Find how Morgan, the main character, and Jaime tie together in Chicago.
