Summary: How NOT to share
Review: My husband and I have enjoyed reading many of the Karen Katz books with our nearly two-year-old daughter since she was born. She loves the sturdy flaps, has learned body parts, manners, and increased her vocabulary and awareness from the colorful pictures and words.

Lately, we've been working on sharing, so I couldn't wait to order this book when I saw it was newly published. Now, I have it hidden away because it's not even worth the price of shipping back. There is not a single example where the children share an actual item of desire or even take turns. Instead, they offer a replacement and keep what they have for themselves. Example: "My bike! You can't ride it. But maybe...I'll take you for a ride."

The problems and resolutions Katz offers here might give parents ideas on how to diffuse such situations, but this is not how I want to teach my child. She and her peers are already capable of so much more.

Don't give up on the author, just this book!
