Rating: Summary: A great cat adventure! Review: A great adventure about cats! It makes you wonder what YOUR cats are doing when a crime is commited. Maybe they're asking Sam for help!
Rating: Summary: Raymond Chandler meets Lillian Jackson Braun Review: And in my opinion, neither of them suffer for it. While this book is targeted to a young adult audience--and I highly recommend it--I would also suggest it to cat-loving mystery novel fans as well. Sam, the cat, has a wonderfully funny and unique voice that keeps you turning the pages. It's hard to keep your friends' paws off this book til you're done.
Rating: Summary: Cleverly-crafted take-off on the hardboiled detective genre Review: I bought Sam the Cat Detective for the great cover design--a gray cat in a Chandleresque fedora sitting beneath a streetlight. To my astonishment, the story more than lived up to the promise of the cover art. Stewart sustains her gentle send-up of a hardboiled Los Angeles detective story throughout. I remain surprised that Sam is considered a children's book--it's a classic that I'd recommend for adult mystery fans, certainly those who like cats.
Rating: Summary: Sam The Cat : Detective Review: I was very lucky to get both Sam the Cat Mystery books. I wish there were more. I loved this easy to read larger print I wish all books would use. The storys are great fun. I mailed them both off to my nephew. Great fun reading for all ages.
Rating: Summary: Sam The Cat is fun, but this cat has claws! Review: Sam The Cat is a book for youngsters, but the writing is hip and sharp enough to make it entertaining for those of us born before uh...Britney Spears?
Rating: Summary: This is a book I will read to my children Review: Sam the Cat: Detective was the first chapter book I had ever read. I picked it up in a book fair at one of the elementary schools about 8 years ago. I am 15 now, and I decided to read it again. I like it even better now, and can see why I like books so much. I definitely will read this book to my children.

Rating: Summary: Sam the Cat: Detective Review: This is a great book! I happened upon it in fifth grade when my school was giving away a bunch of books and started reading it immediately. I was hooked after the first page, and must have read it ten-twenty times in the next year. I loved it every time. Somehow, the book got stuffed into a box and saw a few years in the garage until I found it just recently. I'm now in the tenth grade. I loved it even more than I did when I read it those years ago. The characters are clever, the dialogue is witty, and it can engage children but still has the humor to hook adults. I would recommend this book to anyone! It's one of the best I've ever read.
Rating: Summary: Cat burglaries? Review: This is the story of Sam, a one-man, err, cat, detective squad. He sleuths for the truth behind the too-many, too recent cat-burgleries. (It's just too ironic, isn't it?) Anyway, the story is about how Sam and his feline friends discover just who is behind those burglaries. The climax occurs when Sam attempts to capture the crook. And with a little help from his friends, and a little ingenuity, the conclusion is wonderful. This is a great story for kids, because it allows them to try to figure out who is at fault. It has a great story line, and it's a lot of fun.
