Rating: Summary: Great collection of stories for the young reader Review: I got this book when I was 6 and it has been a loved part of my collection ever since. I loved the map of the village in the front and the little descriptions that matched a location to a story, and the little qualifiers the author will put in front of some people's names like Little Friend Susan. The stories hark back to a simpler time, with things like berry picking or a new dress achieving the level of excitement that perhaps only the young (or young at heart) are capable of feeling. A wonderful book for children.

Rating: Summary: Sweet stories Review: Milly Molly Mandy is tops in our house right now. For bedtime, my 3-year-old son would rather have two chapters of this book than any other. I'm amazed that he can listen to a book with only a few pictures per chapter, but the stories are wonderfully engaging, with a sweet tone and an innocence I love. You'll love this book!
