Review: The book Summer Party is by Cynthia Rylant. A quick summary of Summer Party is that three girls named Tess, Rosie, and Lily live in their Aunt Lucy's attic for the summer. At the end of the summer, the three girls plan a party for their family. They're at the party with Japanese Lanterns, entertainment, and fortunes. After the party, Michael, Aunt Lucy's boyfriend asks, "Aunt Lucy will you marry me?" I would give this book to my friend Renee because she loves the summer.
