Review: When we borrowed it from the library, this was the 1st Bill Peet book my five year old daughter & I read. We thoroughly enjoyed it & donated a copy to her school library. Merle longs to see the world beyond his neighborhood & sets out on adventure. The trip turns out to be more than he expected, but he achieves his goal & enjoys much scenery on the way.
