Review: The account of the origin of The Twelve Days of Christmas presented in this book is simply untrue. None of the truths that were supposedly taught by this carol were ever suppressed by the Church of England. Snopes.com has a good article about this particular urban legend. As a Christian I find it painfully embarrassing that lies like this are being circulated not only via email (which is bad enough), but now even in print.
