Summary: Great for Teachers, Great for Kids!
Review: I heard a lady at a conference in Montana talking about this book and had to have it! It is a great launch to persuasive writing as the little boy tries to persuade waiting monsters that his brother would be a better meal! All of the hidden monsters in the illustrations delighted my students and the repeated phrase "Well, just you stay put . . . " is great for choral reading -- my students picked it up right away. She said the author and illustrator were both teachers -- no surprise! Great Book!
