Summary: Lovely illustrations highlight this story of the rain cycle.
Review: Filled with gorgeous illustrations that delightfully tell the story of a little raindrops' adventure through his life cycle, Ms. Kerr has put together a work that will captivate young children with its pictures and inform older children in a convincing format. The rhyming verse is cleverly done, and anyone would find it hard to resist the smiling little drops as they move through each of the seasons. The activity pages are great for lots of fun on trips or rainy days. The book itself has a great coloring page built in for those little ones who just have to take a crayon to a book! I found the colors of the illustrations to be remarkably clear, and the pictures look very life-like, to the point where you can almost touch the fur on the animals. While very young children might not remember a word like "refraction," they will probably remember how colorfully its meaning is portrayed! I was very impressed with the quality of this book from a first time author, and look forward to whatever Ms. Kerr produces for us next. This would make a nice gift for an elementary teacher, and of course, it would be a nice addition to any child's library at home.

Summary: Wonderfully Illustrated! Super Job Kim!
Review: The illustrations and context of the book are written so beautifully. The children will want to know what happens next. You actually learn about the adventure of the raindrop. I especially loved the way Kim illustrates through the 4 seasons. If you don't own this book ... YOU SHOULD!

Summary: Well illustrated and fun way to learn about rain.
Review: The outstanding illustrations in this book is sure to hold the attention of even the youngest children. The author has taken an otherwise dull suject and made it bright and fun for the kids.

This book is an excellent combination of entertainment and education. The story is an educational experience. The illustration is an experience in the arts for the kids. The verse presentation of the story is an experience in poetry.

Bright and fun, but educational what more could you want?
