Summary: This was my standard gift for children ages 2-6
Review: This set of three (really six, since each book has two sides) books has wonderful illustrations, which fascinate children from a young age. As you flip the pages, the pictures change and various nature cycles are illustrated. Although it is technically a set of picture books, it is interesting even for first and second graders as they become interested in the progression of catterpillar to butterfly or tadpole to frog. The detailed pictures bring to life first lessons in the cycles of nature. This is the first gift I think of for parents with young children because the books interest children for such a long time. I had a set when I was growing up, and it was one of the first things on my list of things to find for my baby girl.
