Logan Moore hates everything and everyone. His father who abandoned him when he was little, his stepfather Robert, who wants to control him, and all of the neighbors. When he is allowed to get a dog, he gets Jack,a mangy mutt who nobody wants except Logan. There is a dog disease that is spreading and Jack is in danger. The disease is said to make dogs attack people. Many people will shoot any dog they find because of the disease. Logan has no choice but to run away to save Jack. Will he save her?

This book reccomended for boys girls ages 9-12. It is a good story to read.

Review: Logan Moore has the worst luck in the world. A father who left his family because he lost his job, a new stepdad who brags about other things and hates his stepson, a mother who bends to her new husband's will, and last but not least, a kid who keeps on bothering Logan. Logan thinks he is going to go mad before anything else happens. Then the diesease hits. Every dog in the world is affected. Also, every dog attacks someone or something before it dies, less than a week after it is infected. Logan's father, knowing nothing about the diesease, decides to buy Logan a dog. But instead of buying the dog his stepdad wanted, Logan goes to the humane society and finds a new friend. A wild dog. She immedietly knows Logan is a friend. Logan is able to keep her, but will she be infected by the diesease?

THE LAST DOG ON EARTH is an exciting book about survival, trust, and hope. I thought Jack, the wild dog, was described greatly. I love it how the author, Daniel Ehrenhaft, gets 'inside' the mind of Jack. It puts great perspective into the characters. I would like to recommend this book to anyone who would care to try.

Review: The name of this book is The L ast Dog On Earth, the author Danial Ehrenhaft. When I first read the title I thought it would be good because there are so many dogs. It also took place in Redmont Contry Oregon, present day.

This book an action/adventure book. The main characters are Logon and Logons dog Jack. A desiase breaks out and jack is in danger because the desiase is contagous to dogs and he has more to worry about because everyone is starting to shoot dogs on sight and not even ask if they were not desiased. Logons knows Jack's not desiased so they are on the run with no one to trust but eachother.

I thought that this was a good book because the whole book yuo just want to know if they kill the dog or not. I would recommend this book to anyone but if you are a big dog lover it does get kind of gorey and sad when the dogs die.
