Rating: Summary: Greatness Review: I loved the book. It was a great almost true story and I would recomend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Try some of Lurlene's others Review: If your just starting out reading Lurlene's books I suggest you skip over this one. It's not her best trust me. Even if you've read all her books but you've never read this one trust me don't. Not to down on her but it was not well written and I found myself getting bored throughout many parts of the book. You should try Baby Alicia is Dying, I'll Be Seeing you, or the Dawn Rochelle books. Those are great ones by this author. If you check out the reviews here on those books you'll be tempted to go and by them.
Rating: Summary: OK, Here's the summary with my thoughts! Review: Jessica and Jeremy are the perfect couple. Jessica saved him in one of his toughest times, when his brother died in the same car he was in. Jeremy left with one scratch. That's when Jessica came along, and convinced them that it wasn't his fault. Now, Jessica is in the hospital, nobody knows whats wrong, until the doctors come in early in the story to tell her "You're having kidney failure." She then goes into dialisis, but she's not doing to well. The doctors are thinking that her only chance may be a kidney transport. The problem: She's not near death. Now it's time for Jeremy to be there for her. He comes up with a radical idea that he could be a non compatible donor. His parants agree to the tests, and to his surprise, he is the best possible match. Of coars then his parents won't agree, because they are afraid to lose their last son, but if they don't let him they will anyways. Will Jessica survive? Will Jeremy's parants get over the death of his brother? Read it and find out. This was a good book, but not a 5 star Lurlene McDaniel book. I think it's worth reading, however! Enjoy!

Rating: Summary: Saving Jessica Review: Saving Jessica is one of best stories I've ever read. The books showed me how much being diagnosed affects on my friends and family. The author tells how people should deal with it and don't give up. Basically it is a story of girl, Jessica, who has being diagnosed as having kidney failure. She had high hopes like every teenagers, but suddenly her hopes and dreams were crushed by this disease. She has to give up a lot of her time with her friends and boyfriend, Jeremy. Jeremy, very loving and kind person, supported her during his time. Jessica needs to get a kidney fast so she can live her life like she used to. Jeremy offers a kidney to her which brought up a lot of issues which this book describes. The whole book is about how Jeremy fought for Jessica's life. He believes he can save her, but can he save her before it's too late? That's what the reader needs to find out. The plot and climax of this book is very interesting. I recommended this book to every youngest that is facing similar problems like this everyday. It is really easy to follow and well written. The book shows this situation can come to everyone's life but don't forget to fight against this situation. Never give up your hopes like Jeremy and Jessica.

Rating: Summary: An Inspiring book Review: This is one of my favourite Lurlene McDaniel books because it made you feel so close to the characters and what was happening to them. Jessica is one of my favourite characters and I liked Jeremy because often these books just focus on the person with the disease and their boyfriends and friends are just in the background. After Jeremy decided to donate his kidney to Jessica, he was a very big part of this book and a lot of parts were told from his point of view. I could guess most of the plot, but some parts were surprising and I really identified with the characters making Saving Jessica one of the most touching and sympathetic books I have read. I advise you to get it if you liked Somewhere Between Life and Death or other Lurlene McDaniel books.
