Rating: Summary: What is it? This will tell you! Review: Great book for children and people learning English. Color pictures of everything along with descriptive sentences that use the words in context. My mother borrowed it to learn English and now she wants her own copy. Get it.

Rating: Summary: an excellent tool for teaching words and new ideas Review: I began "reading" this book (identifying the names of pictured items) with my 18-month old child and he loved pointing at the pictures and learning new words. We often sit with this book for fifteen minutes or more! There are nearly 400 pages of color photographs -- not clip art -- of real world objects and descriptive sentences with each object. The book is organized alphabetically, and also does a great job representing numbers, colors, shapes, seasons, musical instruments, foods, animals and more. My son doesn't read yet, but he takes great enjoyment in telling me the names of familiar ojbects on each page. This book gets read daily, and I anticipate using it for the next few years as we actually start reading words and sentences to learn the why/what/how/where about each item pictured. Great toddler book!

Rating: Summary: Two Thumbs up by Two Year Old Annie! Review: This is a fantastic book for your little ones. Each word has a picture and a several sentence definition that is at the child's level. My daughter cannot read yet, but she loves to have me read it to her. She also loves to flip through the pages and tell me what everything is! Durable "kid-proof" padded hardcover with thick pages for reduced "tearing-while-turning". (Hi S&S K.)
