Rating: Summary: And a Child Shall Lead Them. Review: SEPTEMBER 12TH was written and illustrated by children in a first-grade class. The book is filled with hope and displays that even though none of us will ever be the same since September 11th, we did and will press forward to continue living our lives, perhaps cherishing what we did not consider valuable before. The book is very poignant and some find it amazing that it was written by a class of first-graders. I don't find that so amazing as I do that these young children seem to be more at peace with the world and all that went on than most adults do. I find it hard to believe that the kids who wrote this book are afraid to fly in planes or travel overseas because of what happened on September 11th. I think this book illustrates that the future of our country will be in good hands. I highly recommend this book not only to children, but to anyone who still faces anxiety as a result of September 11th. Read this book, take comfort, and let yourself be led to peace by a child.
Rating: Summary: Reassuring Review: Taken from a child's perspective, the forgotten voices amidst all the terror from September 11, this is a truly reassuring book. Written and illustrated by children, this wonderful book manages to convey the fact that life is okay- the sun comes up again and life goes on. There are still caring people in this world and everything is going to be good again.
Rating: Summary: Innocent Perspective Review: This book is a delight and comfort to read, and the story wouldn't be the same without a child's perspective. September 11th was a day that few will forget, but by reading this book, it lets us all, no matter what age, know that everything will be alright. Every page reveals a way that young children know that everything will be alright. The illustrations are also done by children, and this gives us an insight into how the younger generation percieves this tragedy. While we know that most children cannot fully understand the ramifications of 9-11, this book helps us to see what they see. This book is a must for those with small children or those working in an education environment. And while the book is solely done by children for children, we can all learn a little something from this hopeful and delightful read.
Rating: Summary: September 12th : We Knew We Would Be All Right Review: This book is a delight and comfort to read. The entire book is written by first graders, and each page tells another reason as to how they knew that everything would be all right after the tragedy of 9-11. Some reasons include "The sun came up" and "2+2 still added up to 4." The book was also entirely illustrated by the children and the bold, colorful pictures display the hope these young people have. While this tragedy will never be forgotten, by reading this book we can see the innocent view that young children take on this, and it gives readers a hope that can only be had by children. This book is a must for anyone with small children or anyone working in an education environment. For those children who may not understand quite what went on, this book should comfort all those who read it. This wonderful book should be read by all, no matter what the age!
Rating: Summary: September 12th Review: This book is incredible. I am excited to see that children made this book as a comforting tool for other children. If you have a child that is terrified about the September 11th events, this book is a must. Every time that I feel anxious about the "war on terrorism" I read this book, and it provides me with comfort.

Rating: Summary: Wonderfully done! Review: This book is so heart warming. I purchased it for my classroom and I feel it will be a wonderful addition to help children understand that they are still safe and ok here at school and in America. Seeing this perspective through children's eyes is truely refreshing.
Rating: Summary: September 12th : We Knew We Would Be All Right Review: This is a wonderful children's book which explains how we as Americans (especially our children) knew we would be all right after the hideous experience of September 11, 2001.The emphasis is on the day after and all the days after and I can almost hear our First Lady's voice soothing our children in the aftermath. This story (written and illustrated by children) has a soothing charm that brings tears to your eyes and hope to your heart.
