Rating: Summary: Maybe my baby Review: Beautiful, candid photographs of a multi ethnic baby troop! My daughter would stare at the pictures when she was only a few weeks old and smile. The story that accompanies the photos is sweet and inspiring - good for adults and children of all ages. -board book style for chubby fingers to turn easily -good sized pictures for babies to focus on
Rating: Summary: First Smile Review: I bought this book for my son when he was only a couple of weeks old. I read it to him for the first time when he was about four weeks old. He loved looking at the pictures and even smiled back at the babies. He is now almost five months and he loves it when we read this book.
Rating: Summary: My daughter loved this even at 7 months! Review: I bought this book when my daughter was 7 months old and she loved it from the start. She is now almost 10 months. The pictures are BIG, and one baby to a page, so it's easy for her to pay attention. And I really think she has a crush on one of them (the cement mixer!). She always laughs when she sees him. I took it with me to the photographer and it's the only thing that got her to smile for them camera. Young babies are drawn to other babies and faces and this book is perfect for them!
Rating: Summary: First Smile Review: No one is a better critic of a children's book, than a child himself. And my son rates "Maybe My Baby" on the top of his all time favorites. From age 1 to almost 3 (even after he had already outgrown the books maturity), we read this book together time and time again. Well, really, my son read it to me! He loved it so much that he memorized it word for word. What more can I say...the book is charming, engaging, and underneath it all there is a message of unconditional love from a parent to a child. It is definitely an important first book and I would recommend it to all.
Rating: Summary: Reads well, pictures could have more Review: This book is great - the only thing I would change is the pictures. There's not much to talk about except to say, "Baby!" It would be nice if the babies were at least holding a couple items, or wearing colorful clothes you could talk about. Once your baby starts learning to talk, he/she may not find enough here to keep interested.
