Summary: Good book, but dated
Review: This book has some great illustrations and story lines that made sense in the 60s and 70s. It is not very politically correct though, with the two detectives accusing innocent people (animals!) of stealing and accosting them as they mind their own business. I love Richard Scarry and I have no problem with the un~PC plots but I can see how some people would. This is probably better though of as a classic for Richard Scarry Fans. One thing that I will say though, this is far more interesting for my 3 and a half year old than many other new books.

Summary: A Mystery for your littlest detectives!
Review: This book includes two wonderful mysteries that any child would love. Not only is the text a great read aloud for an adult and child, but the pictures are filled with detail. It is easy for toddlers to follow Mr. Frumble as he explores the Supermarket. They can even "catch the culprit" before Mr. Frumble! My brother had this book as a youngster and read it until he was 11 or 12. Now he wants a copy to share with his own son!
