Rating: Summary: T~Witches the Power of Two Review: An excellent book written by H.B. Gilmour and Randi Ransfield filled with magic, mystery, and twin witches, is worth five stars. T*Witches is a book about two girls named Camryn Barnes and Alexandra Fielding. When they finally find her, a mysterious man shows up. Who is the man? Who kidnapped Marleigh Cooper? To figure out read T*Witches: The Power of Two, the first book.
Rating: Summary: Interesting dialogue... Review: As identical twins born with magic powers but then separated to keep them safe, Alexandra Fielding and Camryn Barnes have no idea of the other's existence. In terms of personality, they are completely difficult: Alex is sharp and sarcastic; Cam is smart and popular, but each hides a secret: Alex hears the words people think but don't say, while Cam predicts events before they happen. If the two were to meet, their magical potential would be incredible, and predictably, this book chronicles what happens when the twins finally discover each other's existence after a chance encounter at a theme park...After reading this book, I have one major complaint: the dialogue. I can't seriously believe that anyone in the real world really talks this way: every second word seemed to be slang and "So", "Like" and "Totally" were completely overused. Also: the sub-plot involving the missing pop-star just didn't really add anything and some of the characters (particularly the twins' respective friends) were a little annoying. Anyway, apart from these points, this was a quick, fun read and I think I'll probably read the next instalments in the series if and when they appear in my library. But no, after reading this I was not filled with an overwhelming compulsion to rush out and buy the next book and I don't imagine I'll want to re-read "The Power of Two". I wouldn't think anyone over the age of twelve would find much challenge in reading this, although the teenspeak can take some time to figure out. Older readers interested in Wicca should try Cate Tiernan's "Sweep" series. ~Jenna~
Rating: Summary: T*Witches. Twins. Witches. Exactly Review: I bought this as a summer reading book two years ago and I have been hooked ever since. The story involves twins separated at birth. The catch is, the twin girls are from a line of witches and when they do meet the magic starts. Both girls are very different, one is from the popular group, the other is the dyed hair misfit. This causes a lot of friction at first, but the girls eventually grow to tolerate, respect and eventually love each other like sisters. This first book is the longest of the series and spends a lot of time introducing Cam and Alex. You also meet their guardians and get some hints of the magic to come. I highly recommend this series. They are fast moving, fun books for girls and the series doesn't appear to be stopping anytime soon.
Rating: Summary: Twins.Witches.Exactly. Review: I loved this book and bookseries, I have read every book in the series. I wish it didn't end but I guess everything has an end. I first found out about this series in the June 2001 issue of Disney Adventures Magazine, ya know that lil mini magazine? I still have the ad actually, it's pretty cool. Can't wait for the Disney tv movie that is supposed to be made based on the series.
Rating: Summary: Do People Know How To RELAX? Review: OK, so u've read all the other reviews totally dissin' this book cuz it's unrealistic. All I have 2 say is that people need to EXHALE. Sit back, relax, and read the book already! Yeah, it's totally unrealistic and it's quite obvious where certain parts of the story came from, but that's the point. The real with the unreal. This book isn't about REAL witchcraft @ all, and it never claimed 2 b. This is the fairy-tale kind and what in the world is so BAD about that? May I remind society, children used ENJOY fairy tales, it made them HAPPY! Reality, my dear friends, makes you SAD! So do u wanna b depressed or do u want 2 dust off the ol' imagination and try not 2 b so uptight? Just read it, what's the worst that can happen?
Rating: Summary: Camryn Barnes and Alexandra Fielding are twin witches Review: This book is about two girls that are twin witches. They were separated at birth and adopted into different families. Then 14 years later they bump into each other and something wierd happens to both of them. Together they have to figure out where they cam from and who they are. I like the part about the necklaces, birth names, and the twins metallic black rimmed gray eyes. Anyone who loves reading about witches might like this book.
Rating: Summary: Twitches Review: THis is one of the better in this series. It focuses on BOTH cam and Alex, two opposites who realize their siters and witches. They must team up and save people. They meet some intreasting charcters such as Karsh, a wise dumbledore figure, Ilena, a fiery blonde and Thantos their evil uncle who's out to get them.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE this book Review: This seiries is one of my favorites of all time. Funny and witty, the authors posses a special talent to make you like these characters. If you are looking for a book about Wiccans, I wouldn't reccomend this book. This book is more of a traditional book about witches. Camryn Barnes and Alexandra Feilding live in oppisite worlds. Alex lives with her single mother in a trailer, and her mother has cancer. Cam lives in a whole other state with her mother, father and brother. Cam is popular and athletic, a pretty girl with a streak of perfection. Alex is punky and sarcastic, and has great friends-all two of them. She has streaks too-blue ones, in her hair! There are only a few things they share-their face, and their magical powers. They're twins. It's quite a shock to them too. When Alex's mother dies, she goes to live with Cam's family. There, in Marble Bay, a teen Britney-like diva called Marleigh Cooper (who's #1 hit song is Whoops Was that Me?) was kidnapped. It's up to them to use their powers to solve a mystory of Marleigh-and their parents! I loved this book. It may seem vauge about their parents, but the identity of the parents is supposed to be a mystery. So go read this book!
Rating: Summary: well here ya go Review: Well this is the first book. Cam and Alex met in Alex's hometown. When they first meet they save a family from dying. Then Alex's mom dies and "Doc" takes her to Cam's house. Will she stay at Cam's homey little house or live on her own? If i told you I would spoil the book for you. So read it if you wont to bite into a good series.
