Summary: My Son Loves This Story
Review: My 18 month old son and I read this story together over and over. He loves the bright colors and pointing out all of the characters as we turn the pages. He is starting to memorize it now and even makes the sounds of the equipment and "Pilchard" the cat. He carries it over to me daily and says "read, read!"

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: More than just a board book
Review: My son (age 2 3/4)loves Bob the Builder, and when he saw this book at the bookstore he had to have it. Since we got it, he takes it everywhere with him. He loves the story, and also loves doing the puzzles on each page. I wish there were more books with puzzles like this one.

Summary: a big hit with my 2 3/4 year old.
Review: My son is a fan of Bob the builders and when he saw this book it was the perfect treat. I thought it would be something we would read once a week but it turns out we read it and put together the puzzles at least once an hour. My son takes this book with him everywhere and never tires of the story and the simple puzzles. The large puzzle pieces have given him great confidence in putting together his other puzzles. I am here in search of more books like this one with the puzzle included.

Summary: My son loves this book, but puzzle pieces get loose and...
Review: Right now this is my two-year-old's favorite book.

He loves to do the puzzles. He can't quite do them, but I believe that he will develop his fine motor skills thanks to this book and his obsession with it.

The "downside" to this book is that when the puzzles are taken apart and put together over and over, the pieces loosen up a little bit and then they are continually falling out of the book as you turn the pages. You will be continually putting it back together for your annoyed two-year-old. I started saying to my wife, "I hate this book!!"

This started to drive my wife and I to the brink of madness when I reinforced the sides of the puzzle pieces with clear packing tape. This tightened up the puzzles a bit so they don't fall apart quite so easily.

But it's only a temporary fix. Will it hold? Will my family go totally nuts because of this book, or will my two-year-old save us all by moving on to something else? Time will tell.

Summary: My Son Loves This Story
Review: This book not only captures the charm of the Bob the Builder series, but also is a good choice for emergent readers. The simple, engaging text involving Bob and his team have helped move my 6yo from being a hesitant reader to a confident reader. If Golden Books publishes more of the same, we will be sure to scoop them up. Can we read it? Yes we can!
