Review: Lisa Jahn-Clough's "My Friend and I" is a delightful picturebook! It's a sweet, sincere story: two children meet, play together, fight over a toy, miss each other, and make up. The illustrations are bursting with enthusiasm and bright colors, perfectly complementing the simple, straightforward text. The children have great energy and emotive personalities. I like that there are no grown-ups in the story; the children get to resolve their problems by themselves. I especially love the ending, which really made me laugh!
