Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK!
Review: Or more importantly, my kids love this book. One of my children has Asperger Syndrome and idioms have always been a complete mystery to him. He has now memorized all of the book's idioms and their respective meanings. My daughter, who doesn't have Asperger Syndrome, loves this book just as much as her brother does. The illustrations are beautiful, kudos to the artist. Great use of colors and completely adorable children and animals who seem to come to life on the pages. Interesting use of photo-realistic black and white illustrations to separate the color illustrations and define categories. It's difficult to explain but this contrast provides a very unique and surprisingly logical effect. There are some illustrators who have easily recognizable styles, like Maurice Sendak, Mary Engelbreit, etc., and I see that kind of strong individualistic imprint with this artist.

I purchased an extra copy and donated it to my child's school because it's an extraordinary educational tool. Highly recommended.
