Review: These books by Petr Horacek are wonderfully simple with very bold, almost textural illustrations. They encouraged a lot of imagination and additional storytelling through the pictures between me and my daughter. She was especially impressed by the pull tabs and loved Flip the penguin. I would highly reccomend any book by this author as a first step to reading. The smaller children at my playgroup also love the warm and inviting illustrations that really encourage reading participation.
