Rating: Summary: Cute story, lovely illustrations Review: I really like this book. The story is cute and endearing, though it would help to have read the earlier books in the series first. It mentions several characters from those books, though they are cameos and are not critical to the story. It also ends rather abruptly as if there should be one more page to give a feeling of closure. That said, it is an enjoyable book, and I even use it when teaching genetics to my seventh graders. The beak colors are a fun example of codominant gene alleles!
