Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Cute but sounds aren't great.
Review: I love the early learners series. I was excited about this book because my son is a year and really into pushing buttons. He thinks it'as pretty neat. The pictures are so cute. I would NOT recommend this particular book however because the sounds are not realistic. The dog and bee sound are especially loud and scratchy. The rain just sounds like static. I would suggest choosing another book if you're looking for one with noises.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Fun and NOISY
Review: To my surprise my 8-month old is mesmerized by this book and we read it over and over. The reader presses eight different sound buttons to enhance a story about a little girl inviting her animal friends to her 3rd birthday party. The art and photos are crisp and engaging, although maybe a bit too busy, which is why I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. It is definitely noisy! The book invites interaction between the reader, the child and the book itself. It introduces numbers, hand-eye coordination, sound and object recognition.
