Review: Solo is a very interesting book about a penguin.It is a story that is sad but happy in a way. Solo's father leaves to get food. When he doesn't return, Solo's mother goes to get food, hoping to return before Solo either freezes or starves. Solo tries to follow her mother but is too slow. A skua ( big bird) dives and attacks her, but a passing shape stops and turns out to be her father. Then the family reunites. Also the pictures drawn add some of the life to the story. The pictures Paul Geraghty drew are very realistic. He can draw and the animal will actually look the way it's feeling. Solo is a book everyone can enjoy. So get Solo and read it with the whole family.
