Rating:  Summary: My neighborhood birds Review: As a 40 year old adult, I purchased this book because of my interest in birds and to review the content for my two nieces. This book turned out to be an exciting learning tool that completely held my interest. The reader is drawn into the content of the book as you go outside into the fresh air and interact with nature. What a wonderful job the author has done with the photos and the outlined activities. You can use this book over and over again, as each time you go outside, something is always different. I am looking forward to reading further works from this author. I am sure my nieces will find this book as enjoyable as I have.

Rating:  Summary: Great way to get children to enjoy the outdoors Review: I bought this book for my 7-year-old daughter, Alice, and it has really sparked her interest in birds and the outdoors. She's constantly looking for new birds and trying to use what she's read in the book to identify the bird. My father and most of my family have always been interested in birds, so I love to see my daughter following a family interest. Thank you Jane for making this possible.

My eight year old daughter takes it with her on bike rides, trips to the park, and walks around the neighborhood. This book is very informative and easy to use. My kids love being able to write observations and draw pictures in the book. This book is great fun for kids and adults. It can be used in or out of a classroom, for birthday parties or a scouting activity. I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys birds or being outside!!

I especially liked writing down my notes and learning about how the different bills tell you what a bird eats! This book will help me out a lot in my outdoor education class this year...

I got the book and now I know more about birds and had fun. Then my dad got interested and I really like spending more time with him. Rating:  Summary: My Neice LOVES This Book Review: We met Jane in our local bookstore, and I bought my 10 year old neice, Amanada, this book. She loves following along and filling in the book with all the new birds she learns about. This is a very educational book wrapped in a fun experience.
