Summary: Lovely water color illustrations and onomatopoeic text
Review: The watercolors beautifully portray a rainy day as a joyous event for a darling little girl and her dog. The text gives you the feeling that you can hear the rain, and I especially love the page showing a dreamy little girl sitting by the fire saying to herself, "I'm getting very sleepy here." Every page makes you feel like you're right there. My 14 month old adores this book, as do I! It's meant for older children, but even a baby can appreciate lines that begin, "Ploomp, ploomp, ploomp..." and "Ping, Ping, Pingading, ping."

Review: This is a beautifully illustrated book to read to your children while curled up on the couch, in your favorite chair, or at bedtime. The author brings home the sounds and feel of rain so delightfully that no matter what the temperature outside, you'll wish it were raining!
