Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent kitchen teaching!
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book with my son who's a very good reader at 6 thanks to the Berenstain Bear Books. This book focuses on a 'breakfast in bed' surprise for mama: how they don't wake her, how they planned the surprise, what they planned to cook and about the mess they DIDN't make in the kitchen and why. My son immediately wanted to try the same thing and secretly with my husband, made me breakfast in bed (without the melons). However, since he never had melon balls, on another occasion, we followed the instructions in the book and enjoyed melon balls for days. Since I want to teach my son to be independent in the kitchen, this was a very good beginner book concerning safety and planning. I highly recommend it.
