Summary: Really cute
Review: I got a Pascualina for my birthday and I love it. I would recommend it to any mom (actually anybody)who wants to give their daughter or friend a really fun and useful present. Not only is it a cool journal, but theres really cute comics and lots of fun stickers. The calendar, planner, and address book are all really useful too. I especially like reading the stories about Pascualina and her family. I like the way it makes me feel when I write in it because it actually feels like I'm writing to a friend. I cant wait for 2005.

Summary: Excellent Dairy and Agenda book for children
Review: I highly recommend this agenda in Spanish, the author of this agenda is Chilean and as a Spanish author, the agenda conveys the culture. I have read the previous reviews that do not agree with the values and ideas found in the book, and I see that as a cultural issue. I recommend this agenda for parents who wishes their children to learn Spanish and learn about the culture. The way the witches and potions are depicted on the book do not condole witchcraft, it is made for children and it also gives good advise on life situations. I think this is great book for children who have guidance on the culture.

Summary: A Friend For Life
Review: I thought the book was very confusing. The pictures are cute but the cartoons are difficult to follow and are not very funny. Many of the daily messages in the "Witches' Herbal Potions" are difficult for kids to understand and are inappropriate. Although there are some positive ditties, messages about sex and romantic love should not be part of a book for young children. Many of the ideas are appropriate for high schoolers to decipher.

The religious messages are an odd combination with the witch theme. I would not recommend this for anyone below middle school age. (Written by a parent)

Summary: A Friend For Life
Review: If you are a young girl, Pascualina is the friend that you have always wanted to have. It is more than a calendar, more than a diary. Pacualina is someone you can share your deepest thoughts with and receive in return good advice on how to approach life. I must note that the web site is also a fantastic place to make friends, share your experiences and ask advice from other Pascualina readers around the world. You should also check out Pascualina's sister's and brother's diaries as well - Artilugia, Rosamunda and Ooops. While these books are for slightly younger ages, the concept is the same wonderfull idea. Having just returned from the Chicago Book Expo I can assure you that there is nothing like this in the market.

Summary: Diary Pascualina
Review: What a horrible book!!!
I cannot believe the inappropiate language and messages being sent out. The cartoons were hard to understand and follow... it's just crazy the way religion, love, and withcraft were mixed.

The book has been put toghether in a way that it's "too baby" for grades 7+, and it's wildly innapropiate for anyone under.

The calendar/diary was the only decent part. (It was pretty cute.)
The spiral binding allows for the explict parts to be exterminated.
