Rating: Summary: Really good... but sad... Review: I enjoyed reading this book and thought it was very touching. It was a shame about Mandie's little brother... she never got to know him. I also thought it was sad when Mandie and Celia had to say goodbye to Jonathan. I enjoyed reading about their adventures in Europe and I will miss his character in the upcoming books. I hope the author will continue writing about him in future books (in addition to "Mandie and Jonathan's Predicament" and "The Unwanted Gift"). Despite the sad events in the book, it had a happy ending with the mystery of the angel solved. This was a very good book. I'd advise anyone, regardless of age, to read it and all the other great Mandie books!
Rating: Summary: The Saddest Mandie book Ever Review: Mandie is on her way home, after spending the summer in Europe. But they had planned to visit a few more places before leaving, and Mandie is worried that her Grandmother's sudden decision to leave might be because of her adventures. But it is worse than that. Mandie arrives home to find the house full of strangers and her mother and baby brother is nowhere to be found. And did she really see an angel during the night? Find out in this well-written book by Lois Gladys Leppard.Of all the Mandie books ever written, this is the saddest. I nearly cried when I read what had happened. But I guess a book collection isn't complete without a tragedy in one of the books. A life of perfect happiness isn't realistic nor does a reader desire it. But it still made me sad.
Rating: Summary: A House Full of Mystery Review: The tour of Europe cut short, Mandie and Celia return home to the states. When Mandie gets back to North Carolian though, she can immediatly tell something's wrong. Who are all the people in her house, and why are they all so sad? Has something happened to Samuel? Or much worse, to Mother? And did she really see an angel? This Mandie book keeps you guessing up until the very end. All though I would have liked to read more about Mandie's adventures in Europe, this is a good (but sad) mystery for her to return home to.
Rating: Summary: A book you can't put down Review: This book is hard to put down because its' secrets are not revealed until the very end. Mandie returns from her trip, unaware that her mother is lying in bed, close to death and that her little brother Samuel has died. Not being able to sleep, she has a visit from an angel, who tells her "you will know, you will know". She contacts a doctor she knows, without telling the docter who is already looking after her mother. She keeps hearing this voice saying "So you are Amanda," but she does not no saying this. You have to ready this amazing book to find out what happens next. This book is perfectly written and is a heart-warming story.
Rating: Summary: Awesome! Review: This is one of the best books I've ever read! Read it!
