Summary: A darn good Mandie Mystery
Review: I'm 14, and have been reading the Mandie Books since I was 11 or 12. This Mandie mystery finds Mandie back at school after a short trip back to her home town. Since Grandmother Taft bought the school, it has been undergoing serious renovation. They are installing electric lights and heat, and have caused several huge holes all over. The actual mystery doesn't pick up until about half way throught the book, but it is a very unpredictable one! Mandie and Celia solve it, and it is a very suspensful process! I was reading this book the other night, and kept telling myself "Just one more chapter and I'll go to bed.." Well, I ended up staying up past 2 finishing it, so that tells you how good this mystery is.

Review: Mandie's grandmother has bought the school that Mandie and Celia attend, and because Ms. Taft is installing electricity and furnaces, there are workers and holes everywhere.
But all the holes are blessings in disguise. Mandie and Celia discover a tunnel under the schoolhouse. And that tunnel leads to a very surprising discovery.

I liked this book right from the start. I especially liked the part when Mandie and Celia have a pillow fight and their bed collapses. That was funny!
