This is a delightful mystery of a young girl in her early teens that falls in love with a horse owned by a cranky old neighbor, complete with two "strange" grandsons! Janey has to solve the mystery to gain the trust of her family. But just as the privilege of riding the lovely mare is within inches of her grasp, another plot twist has you sharing her dismay of ever riding, let alone owning her own horse; of course the ultimate goal!
