Summary: Childhood Joy and Innocence at Their Best
Review: I still own my childhood copy (1st edition) of this wonderful collection of Joan Walsh Anglund's poetry for children. The poems are simple and to-the-point, but coupled with Anglund's unforgettable illustrations, each becomes a classic! I've always enjoyed entering the author's world of childhood innocence and beauty. It's a shame this and a lot of her books are no longer in print, or are difficult to find. If you are able to secure a copy, DO! It will be worth your while.

Summary: Works Well for Lulling Babies to Sleep
Review: We have used our copy of this book to lull our son to sleep since he was born. The poetry is very lilting and it has different poems to go with each season. Our son loves to hear the patterns of the words and at 20 months he still requests the book. It's not just for older children to enjoy!
Also, on my childhood copy, there is a dedication from the author to all of Robert F. Kennedy's children. I found that very touching, given that it was published a year after his murder.
