Summary: The lords will be done on earth and in heaven
Review: I think this book is better than the bible. I think I should worship this book. I hope someday to be God.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Amazing
Review: This is the most amazing, impactful book I have ever read. It will tug at your emotions, and change the way you view the world. Thank you Randy for reminding us that we are all not so lucky to be free to worship. God Bless America!!

Summary: This book is SO good
Review: This is the best book I have read in a very long time. I couldn't put it down and was just amazed at all that these people go through to be Chrsitians. I did skip most of the parts where people where talking from heaven as it didn't apply to much to the actual story, I think the book would have been fine without that part. SUCH A GREAT BOOK.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent book but at some points it was a little cheesy
Review: I loved this book, don't get me wrong! I cried at least through 1/4 of the book. It's touching and moving for any Christian, especially those with a heart for China. However, at some points, I felt like the story was a little unrealistic and a bit cheesy.

Summary: A book that will make you think
Review: This book is one that you will be thinking about long after you have finished. It really reminds us how much we take for granted. Great book!

Summary: Tissue and Time
Review: Grab a little bit of tissue and some time - you will need both. Great book that you won't want to stop reading - buy it for just about anybody, but make sure you read it yourself.

Summary: Captivating
Review: Safely home is a captivating book. It makes one face the reality that Christian are persecuted for their faith all over the world. Within the context of this novel we are presented with the choices we must make every day concerning our beleifs as well as challenging the reader to consider what they would give up to defend there values.
This story made me laugh, cry, and above all remember that I too, must be willing to sacrifice for what I believe in. This is a novel sure to keep you on edge until the end.

Summary: 10 stars
Review: Oh my goodness! This is the only book I have wanted to read twice. I must have 10 friends reading it right now. It provoked in me (a non-emotional type) to cry several times and moved me to evaluate my own life. This author MUST be brilliant and inspired to have written such a piece. I plan to have a book discussion in the manor of their secret meetings in China and PRAY for persecuted Christians. The ONLY bad thing about this book is that after it - all others books pale.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Can not put it down
Review: Be ready - You can't put this book down. It is so wonderful. I enjoyed this book more than any book I have read in a long time. Sure makes you stop and be so thankful that we live in America. Try it you will love it.

Summary: Thought-provoking study of friendship and true Christianity
Review: When I first started reading this book, I thought that Ben Fielding's character was rather one-dimensional. "Christian 'outgrows' his faith, then rediscovers it" can be rather formulaic and poorly-written. But Fielding's transition is gradual; there isn't one defining moment that makes him realize he's chasing after nothingness. In perhaps the strongest example of this, while Fielding's pursuit of human channels to correct problems is noble, his *reliance* on them (and not God) is vain. Li Quan knows this immediately and intimately; Fielding takes the whole book to discover this.

Li Quan's friendship is incredible. He truly loves Fielding, not with just phileo, but with agape. Although it takes him a while to realize that Fielding has abandoned his faith, when he does, nothing changes (except the emphasis of Li's prayers).

What is most striking, though, is Li's faith (and that of his friends and family) in the face of increasing adversity. The book reveals the (real) snowjob that the Chinese government is giving the rest of the world. Life for Christians in China is *not* getting better; if anything, it's getting worse. "Safely Home" gives a jarring, thought-provoking picture of what it means to be a Christian in China, and the opportunities we are squandering on a daily basis in America.
