Summary: A great resource in equiping a true believer
Review: After studying the true word of God in the Bible, this book was outstanding in showing how the LDS will twist scripture to teach unBiblical doctrine. Mormonism teaches that God was once a man, you can become a God yourself, and Jesus was the brother of Satan (all unBiblical).

This book allows the reader to understand how many trained missionaries and other well educated Mormons will use Bible passages to try to convince Christians that they have the truth. By marking your Bible after reading this book, you will be much more equipped to share the truth in love with Mormons.

In addition, you learn the truth of the Bible in a new and deeper way as a bonus!

Summary: Answering to Mormon
Review: I bought it, I read partily which I want to know what does mormon exactly teach, this book has lot of details why they believe in their teaching in old and modern. Sadly, they believe in MODERN mormonism only. But it has tools how to witness to mormon when they will ask and message you in several ways, for example, "we are here for messaging about Jesus is our savior" which they teach other Jesus.

I highly recommended Reasoning from the scripture with mormons by Ron Rhodes, And this book too because it has many scripts are always ready for to counter mormon question and beliefs. it has everything what you need to know

Summary: A typical ignorant misunderstanding of Christianity
Review: I realize people that look for books like this have no interest in understanding the truth. Amazon features anti-Mormon books whenever the word "Mormon" is used in a search, so I find a lot of this trash. I won't waste my time on the Mormon bashers who are just here looking to store up information for their bigoted, intolerant, and hateful attack on people who believe differently than they do. Instead, I will list some books available here on Amazon that explain why Mormons are not only Christians, but why they differ from Orthodox Christianity, and why orthodox Christians are not the Bible-based Christians they think they are.

Most Protestant fundamentalist sects have included the writings and creeds of the Catholic fathers that were written after the death of the Apostolic Fathers, and the Great Apostasy began, and the metaphysics of the Greeks, Aristotle and Plato. Much of what is believed to be "Christian belief" today is an admixture of the additions of the Catholic fathers and the Greeks, and is nowhere to be found in the Bible. This is not just the "belief" of Mormons. It is in total agreement with most historians, some who are agnostic or atheist, and some who are Protestant.

I will list a few books here, although I am fully aware that only the honest seekers of true understanding will even bother to look at them on Amazon, let alone read them. Ignorance is the prevalent condition of people who read these anti-Mormon books and believe them to be true. There is a Mormon saying, that talks about not being able to be saved in ignorance. It's your choice; understand the truth about Mormonism, or believe the ignorant, bigotted, intolerant, and hateful authors of books like the one we are reviewing here.

Please read at least part of these books before making ignorant arguments and marking "No" this review didn't help you. If this review, which includes at least looking at these books, and their ASN/ISBN numbers, doesn't help you in some way, then nothing can.

If any among you do have the honest desire to understand, but maybe not even agree, please leave an honest review of the book you read. I do realize some of the most jaded Mormon bashers will leave "reviews" that aren't reviews because they didn't read anything, but that's always easy to recognize.

Summary: NOT the best effort I have read...
Review: I see what the authors attempted to accomplish with this book, but what constantly amazes me about those who feel it necessary to 'witness' to Mormons, is that they apparently need to read these books in order to, 'know what to say' to the LDS. Are the LDS people that frightening that people are too afraid to actually talk with them? Sure, I understand those who act very defensively regarding their faith, and some may even act almost violent in how they defend their beliefs, but this in no way represents what the LDS Church actually believes. It is really simple, you wanna know what they believe? Why not ask one? If they don't have all the answers you are looking for, it wouldn't be difficult to find one who does. I share the thoughts of another reviewer who mentioned how the authors of this book used Biblical scriptures that THEY think an LDS person might choose to describe or illustrate their beliefs, but it isn't necessarily what most (if any) would actually do. Again, I understand where the authors were going with this, but feel they came up short.

Summary: give me a break
Review: If you need to buy this book to confirm your own faith, you are in trouble. If you don't agrre with another's beliefs fine. Agree to disagree. Everyone has the free will to belive as they might, but that doesn't mean Mormon-bashing is acceptable. Really, grow up. If you feel the need to share your beliefs, share your own, not the beliefs of someone who condemns others for money.

Summary: Powerful book, feverish response...
Review: The Book of Mormon is a 380+ page book that seems to have a powerful effect on people. Many embrace its words as divinely translated verse to guide them to reconciliation with God. Others are disturbed by its content and vehemently attack it as a fraudulent work of Joseph Smith's fiction. I'm amazed the Book of Mormon has such a power to inspire millions and enrage at least as many others. It seems the Book of Mormon can be everything, EXCEPT ignored. This critique of the Mormon's scriptures failed to be a conclusive agent in this area. My mind is still open, and I'm excited by the possibility that this Book is a modern Bible from another group of scattered Israelites.

Summary: need to read
Review: This book is very good to read. It lets the reader see how cults take scripture from the bible and take it out of context. Christ came and died on the cross to save us from our sins, because there is none righteous. Its so amazing that God loved us so much that he would die for us. If you want to sincerly know Christ you need to investigate. As a christian I do not follow blindly my leaders, I study the bible and research what they say for myself, and so should mormons. Mormons why are you so afraid of books that reveal truths about the lds past? If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart you will be saved. No where in the King James bible does it talk about " the burning of the bosoom".

Summary: Excellent reference
Review: This book is VERY useful in order to be prepared for what Bible verses (as well as Book of Mormon verses!) Mormons will use to try to convince you of their doctrine. It will prepare you to answer Mormon challenges to the Bible and to standard Christianity beliefs. I've read this book cover-to-cover and it's an excellent reference.

Books like this ARE necessary for those not extremely familiar with the Bible (such as myself) because Mormons don't tell you about everything they believe. They tell you the parts that sound like Christian teachings. Not until way down the road do you learn that they think that their god was a guy like us living on a planet like us that transcended into a "higher being." Their god had a literal sexual union with Mary to produce Jesus. They tell you this only after they get you to believe that Mormonism is the only true Church, so then you must believe all the stuff that follows.

THIS is precisely why we must be prepared to witness to Mormons when the come to us. And be prepared properly to do so. They are very prepared to witness to US. This book is very specific and was written by an ex-Mormon and an ex-Jehovah's Witness who are knowledgeable on the subject.

I have at least 6 books about Mormonism and every one (including this one) says that Mormons are wonderful and sincere people. There is no hate taught here. Judge for yourself about their doctrine, but you must be informed before you can! By talking with Mormons, you will never get the whole story. They only show the comfortable side. This book is a GREAT start towards more complete knowledge about them.
