Summary: Great exposure of one of the largest attacks on Christianity
Review: Details the antichrist nature of "Christian" psychology. A detailed call for the church to abandon all psychology and it's heresies. The best writings on psychology I have found.

Summary: For any Christian seeking or currently in counseling!
Review: Dr. Martin Bobgan, former psychologist, shocked the Christian community when he raised questions about the unquestioned integration of psychology and theology. Basically unconfronted, psychology has reached to the farthest limits of the church. This book sets the groundwork for several powerful books on the insufficiency of psychology and understanding the true biblical care of the souls.

As a Christian counselor, I am very thankful for this book which made one strong point: humanistic opinions on change devised by atheistic and hellanistic men have no place in the church today! Instead of asking for God's direction through His Word and prayer, the church has opened itself to these ungodly views of man.

There is now a disorder for every sin and for every sin there is a disorder. When will the Christian church realize the importance of the Holy Spirit instead of the educated counselor?

"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ (Colossians 2:8)."

This is a great read by a trully discerning man who left the Christian psychology movement and lets this wonderfully researched work tell you why. Please read this book if you are looking towards or are in any way involved with Christian counseling!!

Summary: Just the facts, ma'am
Review: I have an online biblical counseling ministry and long ago we discovered that the root of people's problems are spiritual, not mental. While a bit harsh at times, the Bobgans present the facts that tell us that psychology has no facts at all to support it. What I liked about this book is that they give documented quotes from psychologists, psychiatrist and even psychology professors that state that they themselves don't really believe psychology is effective.

We are making it required reading for our counselors and counselors in training because of the documentation in it.

However, I do wish they'd have included statistics showing the effectiveness of biblical (true, ACTUAL biblical) counseling.

Summary: Best book of its kind
Review: Of all the books I've read on the subject of psychology and Christianity, this one is the best by far. Despite the first impression from the title, this book is not an inflammatory diatribe. It is a careful, documented look at the origins and promises of psychology and whether psychology is truely a science or simply another religion. The Bobgans make a compelling case against psychology -- whether it is secular psychology or that psychology which claims to be Christian.

Summary: Clouds without Water
Review: The Bobgans have targeted one of the most dangerous trends in the Church, and society, and that is the "Acceptance" of psychology and psychotherapy, and have reduced them to what they are - theories which don't hold water. This science, so-called, are numbers of clouds without water, but which have seduced and brought into bondage so many thousands of people. The Bobgans evaluate everyone from Freud to Rogers to Jung, and reveal just what they really believed, and ultimately point to the only One who can make a difference - The Lord Jesus Christ. He alone can unburden and create a new life, and by abiding by the only guide available - the Bible - our troubles, if we choose, can be solved by Him, and Him alone. Highly recommended!!!
