Summary: TORCHBEARER OF TRUTH
Review: Pastor David Kirkwood is a hero. And true heroes are rare these days. By taking a courageous stand for truth amidst a churning sea of clamoring religious voices from both the past and present, David Kirkwood's timely book, THE GREAT GOSPEL DECEPTION, stands alone. Its beacon of truth, like a two-edged sword, slices through the darkness of doctrinal rhetoric, faulty conclusions and presumptuous dogmas--religious concepts that have forged grooves within the programed minds of a large segment of Christianity.

THE GREAT GOSPEL DECEPTION is a gripping book, a book that cannot easily be put down once you read the first page. I found myself re-evaluating long-held beliefs in light of familiar portions of scripture. It is as if a beacon of light and truth illuminated these passages like never before.

This is a tough book--a book for people of integrity and character who are fearless of having their turf torn up. It is a book for those who have been lulled to sleep by sweet singers of subtle deception. It is a book for Christians who are smugly confident that they are saved by their doctrines or denomination. And finally, it is definitely not a book for the fainthearted soul who refuses to recognize and repent of self-delusion.

THE GREAT GOSPEL DECEPTION is a challenging, no-nonsense call to truth, reality and godliness. David Kirkwood has written a masterpiece--a book that will surely find its place among the classics of great thought, wisdom and literature.

Summary: Needed to be read by all Christians
Review: This is a book that is sorely needed during these time of "wishy-washy" and hypocritical Christianity (if it can be called that). This book is a much needed reminder that when a person is redeemed by Christ there should be a change and a growing sanctification as it states in the Scriptures "Pursue peace with all men, and sanctification, without which no man will see the Lord." A challenge to my faith!
