Review: Ably written by lifelong student of Sumerian history Neil Zimmerer, The Chronology Of Genesis: A Complete History Of The Nefilim deftly explores the creation of the universe, evolution, the history of Sumerian Nefilim kings, their dynasties, and their enduring legacy for the modern day. A fascinating and at times iconoclastic historical chronology of the lives and reigns of great and not-so-great rulers, The Chronology Of Genesis is enthusiastically recommended reading, especially to students of Metaphysical Studies, Alternative Archaeology, and Antiquarian History.

Summary: Exploiting Sitchin's Seminal Work
Review: This book contains NO footnotes, NO bibliography and only 6 pages of narrative. The remaining 190 pages consist solely of unsuppported kings' lists, with undocumented comments inserted. This book can best be characterized as the anti-Sitchin; ill-written, illiterate and ill advised.

Here is an example that gives the feel for the bulk of the book: (p. 115)

"BANDA (GHANA)

DYNASTY OF THE NEFILIM

Total 1 King - 50 years c.930 BC - c.880 BC
Ngakola-? years c.930 During the civil war of Akan Kingdon, Nagakola declared the independence of the Kingdom of Banda. Later in his reign, he was dethroned by the humans.

PRE DYNASTIC
Total? Kings? years c.880 Convinced that rulership by the Nefilim only led to war, Adu Ogyinae started a rebellion of the humans that dethroned Nakagola.
Ananse-? years c.860 A strange little man, nicknamed "the Spider". [sic]
?Unknown Kings-? years c.840-?"

The ENTIRE book is nothing but similar unsupported lists. No credentials are given for the author, no footnotes or bibliography are included, and no sources are cited.

As for the initial 6 pages of narrative, this prelude is full of misspelled words, incorrect history and sloppy, unedited and incorrect punctuation. Before I stopped counting, I found 20 grammatical errors on the first 3 pages. Remember, there are only 6 pages where Neil Zimmerer even pretends to try to string together a sentence.

Here's my favorite quote from Zimmerer's Prelude:

"In some cases, I had to do a lot of speculation about when things happened. However I feel it is more important to have a date, even if there is a high probability of being wrong."

This statement comes from a book that purports to be a definitive and laboriously researched chronology. What a shameful waste of money. I am embarrassed to have purchased it and hope to save others from the same mistake.

Who was the editor that would clear this manuscript for the printer without having proofed it even cursorily? The publisher is listed as "Adventures Unlimited Press."

If a Sitchin student needs any further warning, here is the FIRST SENTENCE OF THE FIRST CHAPTER, punctuation unchanged:

"The first book of the Bible of Genesis, was written by Moses around 1400 BC with information given to him by Yahweh."

Zimmerer does not mention and is apparently not aware of the patchworked nature of the book of Genesis, with its various versions of creation, the Flood, etc. Nor is there mention of how the text is interlaced with the writings of various unidentified authors; No mention of the Q-Document, etc. or of scholarly authorship-controversies. Just a statement of fact that Moses wrote Genesis. I really, REALLY want my money back.
