Summary: A Wonderful Little Book
Review: In summary, I highly recommend this book. I have been waiting for some time for an author to write a book like this - a book that highlights and practically explains the biblical theme of adoption (a theme found in several of the Apostle Paul's letters). With few exceptions, this biblical theme of adoption (or the "theology of adoption") is all too often neglected - other than as an aside in expansive theological treatises. However, in this book Fong offers a compelling articulation of this theme interwoven with the story of his family's own adoption journey (as well as other beautifully rich vignettes, the most powerful of which is entitled "Unbelievably Blessed" found on pp. 53-55).

As an adoptive parent, I have recommended (and given away copies of) this book time and time again to other adoptive parents as well as to those who are considering adoption. But this book is by no means only for adoptive families. Through Fong's presentation of the biblical theme of adoption, I believe that all people can gain a more complete understanding of the love of God. As such, I look forward to one day sharing the message of this book with my children as a way to illustrate how much they are loved by their parents and even more so by God.
