Rating: Summary: yeah. Review: Ditto to the first review. As the first reviewer pointed out, the pages of this bible are sewn. A minor rant on physical quality: A few weeks ago I started looking for a replacement for a worn out 25 year old bible (also NASB). Just about every hardcover bible I looked at, all versions, at Borders had pages glued to the spine, not sewn. This is _not_ _acceptable_ in a hardbound book that I'm going to be paying [$$] and up (sometimes way up) for and using continually. Even some of the leatherbound bibles were like this. Only Oxford and Cambridge seemed to be doing it the right way. I wouldn't call this type "large print". The maps could be nicer (in black and white, not color). The cover boards are covered with some kind of plastic (I'd rather they were cloth). At [$the price] this is a bargain.

Rating: Summary: Blue hardcover version Review: Overall a great bible. The Cover is a darkish blue. I would have preferrred black, but the blue is not ugly. The single column, although unusual, is nice on the eyes. The margin is not huge, but it allows one to see the book and chapter heading in the upper-outside corner. True WIDE margin bibles have the drawback that you cannot see the book/chapter heading as you are flipping through. Books start usually where the previous one ended- no new page. The binding seems good and the book lays flat when open... really nice. The paper is thicker than your typical bible, but not thick enough to write with a pen. Great type font and size. I like it. A great bible for study but not oversized and awkward like most wide margin bibles.
