Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Solid and Insightful
Review: Slee continues the work of Dunn, Sanders, Hengel, et.al. to construct the historical circumstances of the Church in Antioch based on Acts 15, Galatians 2, and extra biblical material. She then demonstrates how this setting, based on a Jewish-Christian conflict with Gentile-Christians over the requirements for tablefellowship, influenced the construction of the Didache and Matthean text. Highly recommended for scholars and congregational leaders who look at the early church for inspiration.
