Rating: Summary: Changed my life forever! Review: As I read this book the first time, it was like I was right there with Henry, day by day, getting closer to God. This book is so anointed that your life will never be the same again after reading it. What happened on day 31 was nothing short of a miracle. I learned that a struggle in life is me being set up for promotion, when I keep my faith in God. With what I learned from Henry's passion, seeking God and His righteousness, has made me a better business owner, husband, and most importantly.......a better Christian. This is definitely one of my favorite books. Thank you Henry for obeying God, my life has been changed forever. Wayne Peterson
Rating: Summary: Awesome!! Review: I had the opportunity to read this book before it came to print--a few times. After its release I read it again. This book taught me a lot about fasting and commitment to a goal. I "was there" when the author went through his trials in the wilderness, and I was drawn into his experience. This is a must read for anyone who wants to go to the next level in their spiritual growth. It's written in the format of a journal, so we can experience with the writer his journey day by day. We become a part of his adventure, his solitude, his closeness with God, and ultimately his victory. I am thankful this writer chose to share this experience with us. It is sure to touch and change many lives.
Rating: Summary: Being in the presence of God! Review: If anyone has ever longed to be in the presence of God -- literally-- and to have his power in you, this man, Henry Skaggs is someone to study. He writes about it in this book. His life and his family's life exemplifies God's grace and power, and this book gives a glimse into why he has this. The book is packed with spiritual truths and Biblical references. I have a much greater understanding of God's tremendous love for me and his desire and ability to do great things in me and through me. I thank God for this book.
Rating: Summary: A Man that goes face to face to know God Almighty Review: Inspiring story (personal journal) of a man's true search for God's personal presence in his own life. This is 40 days of personal; one on one, intimate, interaction with the Creator, not a pragmatic doctrinal argument by a trained author. It compelled me to evaluate my own personal walk with the Lord in terms of intimate reality of a real personal relationship with the Most High. Not for the faint hearted or the proud minded. All traditionalism and denominations aside, this book will prick the inner walls of your heart. Writes down, for all to see, that which most fear to think. Must read for all.
Rating: Summary: Changed my Life Review: Never have I read a book that has impacted my life such as this. Henry is a man after Gods own heart.
Rating: Summary: Inspiration to all! Review: This book is inspiration to all who has the priviledge of reading it. You will realize that you, too, have the power to get through any struggle, if you believe! A must read for who more out of life!!
Rating: Summary: Inspiration to all! Review: This is a MUST read!! If you have ever wondered what it would be like to have a relationship with GOD, then read this book! Henry truly expessed how wonderful a relationship with the Lord can be if you step out on faith and BELIEVE. Thanks so much Henry for your obedience to be a vessel for GOD and ultimately change the lives of others..for the better.
