Summary: Fabulous book - very well written - brings the subject alive
Review: This book by Martin Jones gives us a clear illustration of one of the most turbulent periods in the history of the Catholic Church. I can only refer to the review by Dr Richard Rex of the University of Cambridge to sum up my feelings on the work - "refreshing..." etc. A masterpiece!!
