Rating: Summary: Only an Average Book Review: I've read Anderson before and was pleased with his writing. However, I'm not as impressed with this book. The book is meant to be a look at how Jesus was "available, sensitive, helpful, and creative." All the Biblical texts are from the Gospel of John. Frankly, after reading the first two chapters I thought, "Anderson makes a few good applications, but he sure had to stretch the text of John to get them." I can't help but think my M.Div. profs would be disappointed if I wrote something like this. Sorry to say that I'm not sure the rest of the book is any better than chapters 1 & 2.
