Rating: Summary: Important topic, but would have benefitted from more detail Review: Steven J. Lawson describes a problem common in the modern church of perceiving God not as He is, but as we would like Him to be. The book's biggest weakness is the lack of specifics. Lawson fails to give many specific examples of a "user-friendly" God, but sticks to generalities. He offers a solution to the problem: focusing on the God of the Bible. Again, his solution would have benefitted from some practical examples. Overall, it's an important issue, but I felt that it should have been probed more in-depth.
