Summary: Useful ritual book for Solemn Expositions
Review: This book is a collection of rites and services produced by the NCCB Bishop's Committee on the Liturgy. It is written specially for the Solemn Expositions of the Eucharist, as an aid to parishes and communities to plan such worship services in accordance with the directives since Vatican II. It also provides some useful information for the adaptaions used when a lay minister expose or repose the Eucharist, and may be a guide for brief forms of Eucharistic adorations.

The book comprises the following: Opening Celebration of the Eucharist, Morning & Evening prayer before the exposed Eucharist, Eucharistic services of praise and thanksgiving before the exposed Eucharist, Mass during the period of exposition, and Closing services with and without Mass. Litanies composed by USCC, suggested scripture texts, and a selection of Music (with scores) are provided also. Scripture texts provided are drawn from the NAB with revised Psalms and NT, while other texts are taken from official ritual books.

The book is beautifully crafted. Its usefulness may be limited because of its strong focus on Solemn Expositions. But overall, it is very helpful in directing such Eucharistic worship outside Mass in accordance with the life and traditions of the Church.
