Summary: A must read for all adoptive parents
Review: This book is the true story of a woman, Mary Ann Kuharski, who has 7 biological and six adopted children, many of whom have special needs. Her outlook on life is one of humor and optimism in the midst of chaos. Her desire and ability to live out her faith in her role as mother of 13 children is not only a strong witness to the power of Christ in her life, but a living example for all of us struggling to raise a family.

Summary: A must-read for anyone with children
Review: Usually when reading about large, religious families, they seem so perfect and saintly as to be unreal and unapproachable. Not so in this case. This family started out thinking that a family of four children would be ideal. (The course that my husband and I will probably take.) Then, you rejoice as they welcome many new ones through adoption and blood-birth, and makes it easy for me to want to reevaluate my own plans! I especially appreciated the comments about taking children to Mass - my husband and I often sit out large portions of the Mass with our figity one-year-old, but the author seems to think that God gives you credit just for the attempt!
